One method that hospital administrators could use to manage resistance to further downsizing is to provide employees with the necessary information and resources to understand the reasons for the change. Employees often resist change due to lack of understanding or lack of support.
By providing clear explanations to employees about why the downsizing is needed and providing resources to help them manage the transition, administrators can help alleviate some of the anxiety and resistance to change. Additionally, administrators could allow employees to provide feedback on the change by setting up an anonymous survey or focus groups. Incorporating employee feedback into the process can help build a sense of ownership and trust, which can help reduce resistance to change.

twenty years from now, you want to spend $175,000 for a boat. how much must you deposit as a lump sum today to achieve this goal at an annual interest rate of 6.6 percent?
To achieve your goal of purchasing a boat for $175,000 in twenty years, you must deposit a lump sum of $49,560.97 today. This lump sum, when compounded annually at a rate of 6.6%, will grow to the desired $175,000 in twenty years.
The process of calculating the lump sum deposit can be broken down as follows. First, the desired future value ($175,000) is divided by the formula's result of 1 plus the interest rate raised to the number of years. This result is then multiplied by the interest rate to calculate the present value factor. Finally, the desired future value is divided by the present value factor to calculate the lump sum deposit.
In this example, the calculation would look like this: (175,000 / (1 + (0.066 ^ 20))) * 0.066 = 49,560.97. This result is the lump sum deposit that should be made today in order to achieve the goal of purchasing a boat for $175,000 in twenty years.

one of your customers is delinquent on his accounts payable balance. you've mutually agreed to a repayment schedule of $450 per month. you will charge 1.3 percent per month interest on the overdue balance. if the current balance is $18,000, how long will it take for the account to be paid off?
The account will be paid off in approximately 26.13 months.
This is calculated as follows:
First, the monthly interest charge of 1.3 percent is calculated on the current balance of $18,000, resulting in an interest charge of $234 per month.
The interest charge is then added to the agreed repayment amount of $450, bringing the total payment to $684 per month.
Finally, the total payments are divided by the balance to determine how long it will take to pay off the account: $18,000 ÷ $684 = 26.13 months, or approximately 26.13 months.
It's important to note that the actual length of time to pay off the account will depend on the actual interest charges and payments made each month.
