The Medicare Fee schedule is set by the government and estimates the time, mental effort, physical effort, technical skill, and stress related to each service.

True or false

Answers

The Medicare Fee schedule is indeed set by the government and it estimates the time, mental effort, physical effort, technical skill, and stress related to each service is true.

The fee schedule is used to determine the reimbursement rates for healthcare services provided to Medicare beneficiaries. The Medicare Fee schedule is developed and maintained by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), which is a federal agency within the Department of Health and Human Services. It is designed to provide a uniform payment system for healthcare services across different providers and geographical areas.

The fee schedule takes into consideration various factors that contribute to the delivery of a healthcare service. These factors include the time it takes to perform the service, the mental effort and concentration required, the physical effort exerted, the technical skill and training needed, and the stress associated with providing the service. The CMS assigns relative value units (RVUs) to different healthcare services based on these factors. RVUs are a measure of the resources required to provide a service. The fee schedule then assigns a monetary value to each RVU, which ultimately determines the reimbursement rate for a particular service.

In conclusion, the Medicare Fee schedule is set by the government and estimates the time, mental effort, physical effort, technical skill, and stress related to each service. It is an important tool used to ensure fair and accurate reimbursement for healthcare services provided to Medicare beneficiaries.

What is your definition of both crisis and trauma? In what situations do you think you need to find help, and who are a few people you can turn to for help?

Have you ever been in a crisis through a traumatic experience? If so, share this with a friend. If not, find someone who has, and ask them to share what the experience taught them.

Organize and select the most important life lessons you've learned from your own experiences or those of your peers who have experienced crisis, and explain how this information has equipped and informed you for your future.

Answers

Answer:

The definition of crisis is having a disease and it starts wiping out people and everything's in chaos. Like right now with the disease that's happening. Though Trauma on the other hand is a past experience on your life that effects the person you are now today.

In what situation do you think you need to find help, and who are a few people you can turn to for help;

I'd say friends, if you have a friend that has been there with you all of your life which is extremely rare, then I'd talk to them. Though you wouldn't talk to toxic people, or an abusive parent. A therapist is also a good person to talk to, as if you find the right person they won't tell anybody else.

I have been through tons of traumatic experiences, but I do not like to say any of that on a public website.

The life lessons I've learned is never, ever, do what you don't want to do. Even if it means not being friends or talking to them anymore. Form yourself into a better person, and ask your peers around you if you are doing things correctly. Not all day, but ever month. This is how I can be likeable sometimes, I have shaped myself into a caring person because of this. Though if you ever feel uncomfortable in a relationship, grow the confidence to tell them. If not then that hate will grow into something beyond anybody could say and you will burst one day and complain about them to other people or them. It's okay to take breaks, your mental health needs that. And always look around your peers and show them that you enjoy being around them and make sure they enjoy your company back. Because I bet they care for you and enjoy your aura.

Anyways, I hope I helped with this!

An elderly patient suffers from depressive episodes and informs their physician. The Physician recommends a medication that the patient does not feel comfortable with and requests more information about alternative options. The physician says "I know what I'm doing, just trust me". What are the communication issues in this scenario? Describe how they contribute to risk, and how this situation should be improved. (1 Paragraph or 4-6 lines)

Answers

The doctor's dismissive attitude and lack of a patient-centered approach are two examples of the communication problems in this situation.

The doctor's response suggests a lack of consideration for the patient's worries and wishes, which could jeopardise the trust and teamwork required for efficient therapy. By making the patient feel reluctant to express their genuine concerns or ask for further information, this communication approach can increase the likelihood of non-compliance or medication dissatisfaction. By actively listening to the patient, addressing their concerns, and offering thorough information regarding the prescribed drug as well as alternative options, the doctor can make things better by taking a patient-centered approach. Open communication and shared decision-making can produce better treatment outcomes, increase patient satisfaction, and develop trust.

a small postively charged object near a postively charged sphere is moved closer to the sphere. the electrical potential energy of the small object:

Answers

When a positively charged object is moved closer to another positively charged sphere, the electrical potential energy of the small object increases.

This is because both objects have like charges and, according to the law of electrostatics, like charges repel each other. As the distance between the small object and the sphere decreases, the electrostatic repulsion between them increases, resulting in an increase in electrical potential energy.

In simple terms, the positive charges on the small object and the sphere experience a stronger repulsive force as they get closer, requiring work to be done to bring them closer together. This work is stored as electrical potential energy in the system.

Therefore, as the small positively charged object is moved closer to the positively charged sphere, its electrical potential energy increases.
