You are the leader of a society that maintains unity through your core religious beliefs. You’ve been approached by a society who would like to trade with you. This society would send traders and missionaries [people sent to promote a religion in a foreign place] to your country for months at a time to negotiate trade Deals

Why might you say NO to this trade relationship?

Why might you say YES to this trade relationship?

Answers

Answera and Explanation:

1. I would say NO to this trade relationship if the costs to my business in engaging in a partnership with the smaller company is greater than my profit. Also profit has to be worth the partnership as this smaller company would not likely have a bargaining power in the agreement since my company might just be a life saver to this smaller company(using land) . Therefore my profit percentage would be higher than what the smaller company will be getting

Yes if profits from partnership here largely exceed costs

2. No because the trade deal comes with religious influences from the partner who might distort the unity of the society with the new religion brought by the missionaries. Also is trade deal profitable?

Yes if the religion being brought by missionaries is peaceful and aligns with the religion iny society. Also trade relationship with them is profitable

]The Pythagorean theorem states that the sum of the squares of the legs of a right triangle is equal to the square of the hypotenuse by the formula a2 + b2 = c2.

If a is a rational number and b is a rational number, why could c be an irrational number?

The square of rational numbers is irrational, and sum of two irrational numbers is irrational.

The product of two rational numbers is rational, and the sum of two rational numbers is irrational.

The left side of the equation will result in a rational number, which is a perfect square.

The left side of the equation will result in a rational number, which could be a non-perfect square.

Answers

Answer:

The left side of the equation will result in a rational number, which could be a non-perfect square.

Explanation:

According to the Pythagorean theorem, the sum of the squares of the legs of a right triangle is equal to the square of the hypotenuse.

Take [tex]a=2,b=5[/tex]

[tex]a^2+b^2=2^2+5^2=4+25=29[/tex]

As [tex]a^2+b^2=c^2[/tex], [tex]c^2=29[/tex]

Here, 29 is not a perfect square.

So, c is irrational.

If a is a rational number and b is a rational number, c could be an irrational number as the left side of the equation will result in a rational number, which could be a non-perfect square.

The reason for which the value of c would be an irrational number:-

D). The left side of the equation will result in a rational number, which could be a non-perfect square.

Pythagoras theorem states that the sum of the square of the base and the perpendicular in a right triangle would be equivalent to the square of the hypotenuse of that triangle.

In the given situation,

[tex]a^2 + b^2 = c^2[/tex]

Since a and b are rational numbers, the reason for c being an irrational number would be:

Let's assume [tex]a = 3, b = 5[/tex]

Now,

[tex]a^2 + b^2 = c^2[/tex]

[tex]3^2 + 5^2 = c^2[/tex]

∵ [tex]c = \sqrt{34}[/tex]

Hence, c is a non-perfect square as the equations' left side produces a rational number.

Thus, option D is the correct answer.

The French and Indian War has changed the political, economic, and ideological relations between Britain and its American colonies. When the English debt lead to unfair taxation of the colonists, it had changed the way they felt about their country.

When the French and Indian War ended, the countries colonizing North America shifted. After 1763, English colonies led the new world into what it is now. This took a toll on the political relationship between Britain and the American colonists because it lead to the Proclamation of 1763. The Native Americans believed "they had no right to settle." Since it was their home to begin with. The Proclamation was Britain's idea of preventing further conflict. So to this, It made the colonists very angry for not having their right of freedom. Other political changes included Britain's abandonment of their salutary neglect policy. After the French and Indian War, England was left with the deep debt they had acquired during the previous years. In turn, they began to strictly regulate trade, and impose taxes on commonly used items. Although Britain attributed these changes to their "virtual increase in territory," the colonists were infuriated. They felt this was unjust taxation.

All this sudden taxation and regulation took a toll on the economic relationship between the colonists and their mother country. Prior to the French and Indian War, the Wool, Hat, and Iron Acts forced the Americans to ship their raw the material to Britain, only to later buy the finished products from them. However, with the heavy British taxation, mercantilism was soon abandoned when the colonists decided to fight back. The Stamp Act enraged many of the elite colonists, and as Benjamin Franklin states, they wanted to "get it repeal'd" (Doc D) as soon as possible. With boycotting as their weapon, they practiced non-importation and non-consumption, thus harming the economic relationship the between the two parties.

Although colonial ideological values toward Britain began to change during the war, the colonists' ability to go through with the boycotts proved they could unite to make change. All the taxation and regulation added to the resentment colonists already felt prior to the Proclamation of 1763. Also, the French and Indian War, helped American soldiers realize they had less liberty than Englishmen. A Massachusetts soldier wrote "we are debarred Englishmen's liberty." American resentment that arose during this period helped trigger colonial rebellion.

The French and Indian War is to blame for the American Revolution. Ideologically, it brought up colonial feelings of resentment toward Britain. It also changed the political relationship between England and its colonists because the English were forced to unfairly tax them due to their economical struggles. The colonists in turn, boycotted, thus further damaging their economic relationship with their mother country. So since the Wars’ ending, America was never the same.
