What do you know about Treaty of Versailles?

On June 28, 1919, the Treaty of Versailles was ratified. The most significant pact of World War I, it put an end to hostilities between Germany and the majority of the Allied Powers.

Exactly five years after the murder of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, which started the war, it was signed in the Palace of Versailles. Separate treaties were signed by the other Central Powers on the German side.

The Versailles Treaty was never ratified by the United States, who instead signed a separate peace agreement with Germany. Despite the fact that fighting ended on November 11, 1918, it took the Allies six months of talks at the Paris Peace Conference to reach a peace treaty. Germany was compelled to engage in the negotiations after being forbidden to do so.

Answer:

The Normandy invasion was a significant turning point during the war.

Germany experienced the most casualties during the Normandy invasion.

and possibly The number of German casualties and their previous losses likely made it difficult for Germany to recover. but im not 100% sure I hope this helps

I think France had the strongest military during WWII, because the German Invasion of France during 1940 was a easy win for Hitler and Germany. But again, it could be strategy, not man-power. I also don’t think Canada played a huge roll in the War. I think they joined because the UK was in the war and so did other Commonwealth Countries, like Australia. The main key players in WWII were probably the Soviet Union and the United States. France still existed under Nazi rule (though it was called Vichy France) and was probably a key player too. The Allied Invasion of Normandy was a big turning point in the War, and Germany did see a lot of casualties, so I think the answer is the first two scenarios; the Normandy invasion was a significant turning point during the war and Germany experienced the most casualties during the Normandy invasion.

Answer: B Richmond,VA

Explanation: Confederate troops stationed in several large urban centers—Charleston, Columbia, Atlanta, and Richmond—burned arsenals, warehouses, and factories before they withdrew in the face of the Union army's overwhelming numbers.

Richmond:

the Confederate government realized the siege was almost over and abandoned the city lest they be captured. The retreating Confederates chose to burn military supplies rather than let them fall into Union hands; the resulting fire destroyed much of central Richmond.

Charleston:

Charleston was badly damaged by the Union Army during the Civil War. The Union soldiers burnt much of Charleston. Much of what wasn't destroyed during the war fell after the 1865 earthquake. Despite witnessing so much destruction, Charleston has been able to restore many of its historic structures.

Atlanta

Through October, Sherman built up a massive cache of supplies in Atlanta. He then ordered a systematic destruction of the city to prevent the Confederates from recovering anything once the Yankees had abandoned it. By one estimate, nearly 40 percent of the city was ruined.

According to the research Richmond was one of the few cities that struggled to comeback after the war. So i Would pick B.

Answer:

Richmond, VA

Explanation:

Retreating soldiers were setting fires on lots of things, including bridges, houses, e.t.c Then, the fires spread to other buildings, to leaves, and after a short while the whole city was on fire. Most of the city was destroyed due to these unchecked fires. (yes it was a confederate city)

What is logical fallacy?

A logical fallacy is an error in reasoning that makes your argument less effective and convincing. And you want to be able to spot these fallacies in other people's arguments so you can call them out or fix your own strategy.

There are two major types of logical fallacies, formal and informal. In formal fallacies, there's a problem with how you structure your argument, and how you're making your points. You might be speaking the truth, but the logic breaks down because of the way you're putting your arguments together.

In informal fallacies, there's a problem with what you're saying, and the information might be incorrect or misleading.

Which THREE items on the list do you think were most beneficial to the Americas (New World)? Explain why.

Answers

Answer:

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Unfortunately, you did not attach the chart showing the Columbian Exchange. So as you forgot to include it, we do not know what is the information included in ypur chart.

However, trying to help you, we can say the following.

The three items on the list that I think were the most beneficial to the Americas (New World) were the following.

1.- Livestock. European nations exported to the Americas, livestock such as pigs, cows, horses, sheep.

2.- Grains. These European nations exported grains such as barley, rice, wheat, among others.

3.- Diseases. Unfortunately, part of this Columbian exchange was the many diseases European people brought to the Americas that almost wiped out 80 percent of the Native American Indians, Mesoamerican Indians, and Indians in South America. We are talking about diseases such as Malaria, smallpox, cholera, chickenpox, and influenza.

These three items - livestock, grains, and diseases - had profound effects on the Americas. Livestock brought new opportunities for sustenance, labor, and economic growth, while grains expanded agricultural practices and food production. However, the introduction of diseases had devastating consequences, leading to the loss of lives and the reshaping of indigenous societies.

1. Livestock: The introduction of livestock from Europe to the Americas had a significant impact. Animals like pigs, cows, horses, and sheep provided various benefits to indigenous communities. Livestock served as a source of food, labor, transportation, and materials for clothing and shelter. They greatly influenced the economy, agriculture, and way of life in the Americas.

2. Grains: The export of grains from Europe, such as barley, rice, and wheat, to the Americas had a transformative effect on agriculture and food production. These grains became vital food sources for indigenous communities, contributing to their sustenance and nutrition. The cultivation of European grains significantly expanded agricultural practices and increased food productivity in the Americas.

3. Diseases: Unfortunately, the Columbian exchange also brought devastating diseases to the Americas. European diseases like malaria, smallpox, cholera, chickenpox, and influenza had a catastrophic impact on Native American populations. The lack of immunity among indigenous communities led to widespread epidemics and a significant decline in population. While the introduction of diseases was unintentional, it had a profound and lasting impact on the Americas.
