The National Institue of Health ran a study that showed the increasing amount of pollution in China caused many birthdefects in the first trimester of pregnancies. Also according to MDPI, it's estimaed thta 800,000- 1.2milliion children acrosss china can suffer from birthdefects and half of those are from pollution. Not only are the fetus's in the womb not safe, but kids across Chinaa are more vulnerable to get affected by the pollution. According to NIH.gov " Adverse effects of combustion-related air pollution include reduced fetal and child growth, pulmonary disease including asthma, developmental impairment, and increased risk of cancer." which in other words means as children are growing, they can still get diseases.
