Regarding the debate over the ratification of the Constitution: Do you agree more with the position of the Federalists or the position of the Anti-Federalists?

In regards to the debate over the ratification of the Constitution, the people that I agree more is the position of the Anti-Federalists because The ratification was opposed by anti-federalists, who thought the states should have more power and not the federal government.

The opposing view is that I agree more is the position of the Federalists.

The reason is because Its guiding principles provided the fledgling government with structure. Its leaders established a national judicial system, built a national economy, and articulated fundamental ideas of American foreign policy.

Why did the Anti-Federalists think this was such an important right?

They were concerned that the new Constitution lacked sufficient safeguards for both state and individual rights and that a stronger federal authority would be more prone to tyranny.

A bill of rights was deemed required by antifederalists because the supremacy clause, when combined with the necessary and appropriate and general welfare clauses, would grant implicit powers that could jeopardize rights. The idea that a bill of rights was required was denied by federalists.

Therefore, The Bill of Rights was created to safeguard Americans' civil liberties in response to the anti-Federalists' opposition to the Constitution's ratification.
