Given:
Relaxed length of the spring (L0) = 0.115 mSpring constant (k) = 51.0 N/mExtended length of the spring (L) = 0.150 mWant: Elastic potential energy stored in the spring
Solve:
The elastic potential energy stored in the spring can be calculated using the following formula:
Elastic potential energy = 0.5 * k * (L - L0)^2
Substituting the given values into the equation:
Elastic potential energy = 0.5 * 51.0 N/m * (0.150 m - 0.115 m)^2
Elastic potential energy = 0.5 * 51.0 N/m * (0.035 m)^2
Elastic potential energy = 0.5 * 51.0 N/m * 0.001225 m^2
Elastic potential energy = 0.0312 J

using F=MA, if you weighed 375N what would your mass be *have to show work*
Answer:
38.22 kg
Explanation:
To use the formula F=ma to find the mass of an object, we need to know the force acting on it and its acceleration. In this case, the force acting on the object is its weight, which we can find using the equation:
weight = mass x acceleration due to gravity
The acceleration due to gravity on Earth is approximately 9.81 m/s^2. Therefore, we can write:
weight = mass x 9.81 m/s^2
We are given that the weight of the object is 375 N. Substituting this value into the equation, we get:
375 N = mass x 9.81 m/s^2
To solve for mass, we need to isolate it on one side of the equation. We can do this by dividing both sides by 9.81 m/s^2:
mass = 375 N / 9.81 m/s^2
Using a calculator, we can evaluate this expression to get:
mass = 38.22 kg
Therefore, if an object weighs 375 N, its mass is approximately 38.22 kg on Earth.

The maximum acceleration is given as 0.2m/s2
A) find the velocity and
displacement of the train in 12s if it starts to speed up from rest.
B) How long will it take for this train to reach a velocity of 54km/ h if it continues to accelerate at the same rate?
A) the train's final velocity after 12 seconds of accelerating at 0.2 m/s^2 from rest is 2.4 m/s, and its displacement is 14.4 m.
B) it will take the train 75 seconds to reach a velocity of 54 km/h (15 m/s) if it continues to accelerate at the same rate of 0.2 m/s^2.
How The Train's acceleration was calculatedA) If the train starts from rest, its initial velocity is 0 m/s. Using the equation for constant acceleration, we can find the final velocity and displacement of the train after 12 seconds:
Final velocity = initial velocity + acceleration x time
Final velocity = 0 m/s + 0.2 m/s^2 x 12 s
Final velocity = 2.4 m/s
Displacement = (initial velocity x time) + (1/2 x acceleration x time^2)
Displacement = (0 m/s x 12 s) + (1/2 x 0.2 m/s^2 x (12 s)^2)
Displacement = 14.4 m
Therefore, the train's final velocity after 12 seconds of accelerating at 0.2 m/s^2 from rest is 2.4 m/s, and its displacement is 14.4 m.
B) First, we need to convert the final velocity to m/s:
54 km/h = 15 m/s (rounded to two decimal places)
Using the same equation for constant acceleration, we can solve for the time it takes for the train to reach a velocity of 15 m/s with an acceleration of 0.2 m/s^2:
Final velocity = initial velocity + acceleration x time
15 m/s = 0 m/s + 0.2 m/s^2 x time
time = 75 seconds
Therefore, it will take the train 75 seconds to reach a velocity of 54 km/h (15 m/s) if it continues to accelerate at the same rate of 0.2 m/s^2.

A ball is dropped from a height of 10m .At the same time, another ball is thrown vertically upward at an initial speed of 10m/sec .How high above the ground will the two ball collide?
The height the two balls will collide at 5.1 m above the ground after travelling for 1 second
Calculating the heights of the ball.Let's assume that the upward direction is positive, and the downward direction is negative. We can use the kinematic equations of motion to solve the problem.
For the ball that is dropped, we can use the equation:
y = y₀ + v₀t + 1/2 at²
Where:
y = final position (unknown)y₀ = initial position = 10mv₀ = initial velocity = 0 m/s (since it is dropped)a = acceleration due to gravity = -9.8 m/s² (negative since it is acting in the downward direction)t = time taken (unknown)Therefore, the equation becomes:
y = 10 + 0t - 1/2 (9.8)t²
For the ball that is thrown upward, we can use the equation:
y = y₀ + v₀t + 1/2 at²
where:
y = final position (unknown)y₀ = initial position = 0 mv₀ = initial velocity = 10 m/s (since it is thrown upward)a = acceleration due to gravity = -9.8 m/s² (negative since it is acting in the downward direction)t = time taken (unknown)Therefore, the equation becomes:
y = 0 + 10t - 1/2 (9.8) t²
Since both balls will collide at the same height, we can equate the two equations to solve for t and y.
10 - 1/2 (9.8) t² = 10t - 1/2 (9.8) t²
Simplifying the equation, we get:
10t = 10
t = 1 second
Substituting t = 1 second into either equation, we get:
y = 10 * (1) - 1/2 (9.8) * (1)²
y = 5.1 meters
Therefore, the two balls will collide at a height of 5.1 meters above the ground.

Why does strenuous activities make the heart beat faster?
Explanation:
When you exercise the muscles in your body must contract, in order to do that they need oxygen, glucose, a molecule called ATP, and amino acids. As your muscles use these compounds and contract themselves, they will create waste products like carbon dioxide, and lactic acid that must be carried away from the muscles. When exercising many muscles will all require nutrients and elimination of waste products constantly at the same time. To meet this demand the heart must rapidly increase the rate at which it beats and pushes blood through the body. This is why the heart beats significantly faster during exercise.

What is the wavelength (in nm) of maximum intensity for a celestial body with a temperature of 50000 K?
The wavelength of maximum intensity for a celestial body with a temperature of 50000 K is approximately 577 nm.
What is wavelength?To find the wavelength of maximum intensity for a celestial body with a temperature of 50000 K, we can use Wien's displacement law, which relates the temperature of an object to the wavelength at which it emits the most radiation. The law is given by:
λ_max = b / T
where λ_max is the wavelength of maximum intensity, b is Wien's displacement constant (2.898 × 10⁻³ m·K), and T is the temperature in Kelvin.
We can convert the temperature of 50000 K to Kelvin by adding 273.15 to get:
T = 50000 K + 273.15 = 50273.15 K
Plugging in the values, we get:
λ_max = (2.898 × 10⁻³ m·K) / 50273.15 K
Simplifying, we get:
λ_max = 5.77 × 10⁻⁸ meters
To convert meters to nanometers, we can multiply by 10⁹:
λ_max = 5.77 × 10⁻⁸ meters × 10⁹ nm/m = 577 nm
Therefore, the wavelength of maximum intensity for a celestial body with a temperature of 50000 K is approximately 577 nm.

a) To stay everyone pinned against the wall of drum. Frictional Force must be equal to weight mg which are opposite to each other.
μN = mg ........1)
Centrifugal acceleration = Normal
mv²÷r = N
With this equation 1 becomes
μ[tex]\frac{mv^{2} }{r}[/tex] = mg
v² = rg÷μ
v² = 5m*9.8m/s ÷ 0.15
v² = 326.6
v= [tex]\sqrt{326.6}[/tex] = 18.07 ~ 18 m/s
Hence minimum speed required for the riders is 18m/s.
b) for angular velocity of the drum, V=rω
ω = v÷r
ω = 18m/s ÷ 5m
ω = 3.6 rad/s
hence angular velocity of the drum at 18m/s speed is 3.6 rad/s
