Adolf Hitler looked down on certain races and believed that Germany should be the supreme power.

Adolf Hitler was racial purist who believed that the pure German people of Aryan blood should rule the world. He believed that in order to do so, the Aryans needed living space. As a result he:

attacked Poland to gain some of that spaceattacked the Soviet Union to subjugate her population and acquire much needed agricultural land

The first action led to Britain and France declaring war on Germany and beginning WW2.

Hitler looked down on many different races such as the Serfs, the Romani people and the Blacks but he most especially hated the Jews so much so that he:

ordered them to be rounded up and put in ghettos ordered them to be moved from the ghettos to concentration campsordered the deaths of over 6 million Jews in what was called the Holocaust.

In conclusion, Hitler's ultranationalist views therefore led to the Second World War and the Holocaust.

Describe the basic changes in the government of Athens

Answers

Answer:

After the Dark Age, the city-state of Athens abandoned its monarchy. In the place of its kings, it established a council of archons. (An archon was a leader elected from the aristocracy.) The council consisted of three archons: archon eponymous, polemarch and archon basileus. The archon eponymous acted as the chief judge or magistrate. The polemarch was head of the armed forces, and the archon basileus acted as a head priest, managing the religious activities of Athens.

As an oligarchy, Athens experienced many social problems. The lower classes rebelled against the unfair treatment that they received from the aristocracy. In order to deal with the rising crime, a strict set of laws were issued by the archon eponymous Draco in 621 BC. (The term draconian, meaning harsh or oppressive, comes from Draco's name.) The laws demanded strict punishment for offenses. Minor violent offenses were punished with death. Men that could not pay off their debts were forced into slavery. However, Draco's "Bloody Laws" only made the social problems of Athens worse.

In 594 BC, an aristocrat named Solon was elected archon eponymous. He did much to help ease the tension between the upper and lower classes. One of the most important changes that Solon made to the government of Athens was that he allowed all male citizens over 18 years of age to participate in the Assembly. This granted political power to all classes of people for the first time in Greek history!

So to sum it all up, overtime the Athenians developed a democratic government! :)

1. How had the world changed between
the election of 1988 and the election of
1992?

Answers

Answer:United States presidential election of 1992, American presidential election held on Nov. 3, 1992, in which Democrat Bill Clinton defeated incumbent Republican Pres. George Bush. Independent candidate Ross Perot secured nearly 19 percent of the vote—the highest percentage of any third-party candidate in a U.S. presidential election in 80 years.

The campaign

Typically, incumbent presidents face little opposition in securing renomination, but Bush faced a stiff early challenge from conservative commentator Pat Buchanan. At the Republican National Convention in 1988, Bush had pledged to the delegates that he would resist any tax increases, giving his famous “read my lips” pledge. But in 1990, in an attempt to cope with a soaring budget deficit, Bush reneged on that pledge, earning him the enmity of his conservative supporters and the distrust of many voters who had backed him in 1988. Buchanan led an insurgent campaign against Bush, capturing nearly 37 percent of the vote in the New Hampshire primary. Despite the challenge, Bush went on to win the Republican nomination, though his candidacy was wounded.

Explanation:

In the United States presidential election of 1992, American presidential election held on Nov. 3, 1992, in which Democrat Bill Clinton defeated incumbent Republican Pres. George Bush.

What happened in the presidential election of 1988?

On November 8, 1988, the United States had its presidential election, with Republican George Bush defeating Democrat Michael Dukakis.

Normally, incumbent presidents have little opposition when seeking reelection, but Pat Buchanan, a conservative commentator, gave Bush a serious early challenge. Bush made the infamous "read my lips" commitment to the delegates at the 1988 Republican National Convention, promising to oppose any tax hikes.

However, Bush broke that promise in 1990 in an effort to deal with a ballooning budget deficit, garnering the resentment of his conservative allies and the mistrust of many voters who had supported him in 1988.

Therefore, despite the challenge, Bush went on to win the Republican nomination, though his candidacy was wounded.

How do the grievances listed reflect enlightenment ideas that were first expressed by John Locke?

Question 11 options:

It describes how the colonists were encouraged by the king to send their elected representatives to London.

It describes how the king was holding public meetings in locations favorable to colonies loyal to Britain.

It describes how the king made it hard for the American colonists to participate in government to provide their consent to be governed.

It describes how the colonists were not given adequate access to public records necessary for day-to-day government activities.

Answers

Answer:

Many ideas of Enlightenment reflected in the Declaration of Independence from John Locke's point of thinking. ... All people were equal in a natural state and independent, everyone had a natural right to defend “life, liberty, health, or possessions.” Most of Locke's ideas of enlightenment were based on government.

Explanation: The Declaration of Independence was highly influenced by Enlightenment ideals, especially those ideas developed in John Locke's "Two Treatises of Government" (1689).

In such work, Locke promoted the idea of the social contract and natural rights. He claimed that men were by nature free and equal, but with the purpose of interacting in a healthy society, they had to transfer some of their rights to a government under a "Social Contract". Under that contract, the government had to be elected by the people and had to protect people's natural rights (life, liberty, and property), and whenever the government failed to do its duty, people had the authority to abolish it or replace it.

Similarly, in the Declaration of Independence, the Thirteen American colonies unanimously declared independence from Britain and listed a series of grievances to illustrate how the British Crown violated such social contract and failed to secure people's unalienable rights of Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness (The latter being a concept said to be taken out from one of the others Locke's work).
