What name is given to the collection of enzymes that hydrolyze organic phosphate-containing molecules?

Answers

Answer 1

Phosphatases is given to the collection of enzymes that hydrolyze organic phosphate-containing molecules.

What do phosphatases enzymes do?

An enzyme called a phosphatase takes a phosphate group out of a protein. Together, these two groups of enzymes control how a cell's proteins behave, frequently in response to outside stimuli.

Do phosphatases hydrolyze?

A phosphatase is an enzyme in biology that breaks down phosphoric acid monoester into a phosphate ion and an alcohol using water. A phosphatase enzyme is a subclass of a hydrolase since it catalyzes the hydrolysis of its substrate.

What is the function of a phosphatase?

Proteins with phosphorylated amino acids are removed by phosphatases. A phosphatase helps change the activity of a protein by removing the phosphate group from a phosphorylated amino acid.

What should you do if every dilution of your sample results in a plate that is too few to count?

Answers

The original sample must be refilled and the most probable number (MPN) approach must be used if each dilution of the sample yields too few plates to count.

What is the most probable number(MPN) method?

The most probable number (MPN), a statistical technique based on the idea of extinction dilution, is used to calculate the number of bacteria that are likely to be present in a sample. It is frequently used to estimate the number of bacteria in food and water. However, the technique can only count living creatures. According to Food and Drug Agency (FDA) guidelines, which state that the maximum allowable limit in seafood is 10,000 cells per gram, it is imperative to count V. parahaemolyticus from seafood.

Why is the MPN technique crucial?

When samples include particulate matter that obstructs plate count enumeration techniques, MPN(most probable number) tests are particularly helpful. In order to determine if the water is safe to drink in terms of the number of bacteria present, MPN is most frequently used to assess the quality of water.

Answer:

Explanation:

Dead zones begin to form when excess nutrients such as phosphorus and nitrogen enter coastal waters and help the growth of an organism called cyanobacteria, or blue-green algae. With too much nutrients the algae takes up most of the oxygen in the water, leaving other organisms with less oxygen, killing them. Fertilizers would be the main reason for a dead zone to form. Therefore, Company 1 would be the most suitable as they reduced the concentration of fertilizers in the water the most.

The respiratory system, often known as pulmonary ventilation, supports breathing. Air is inhaled during pulmonary breathing through nasal and oral canals (nose or mouth). It passes into the lungs via the pharynx, throat, and trachea. After that, air is expelled and returns along the same path. Pulmonary ventilation is triggered by changes in the volume as well as air pressure within the lungs. Both diaphragm plus external intercostal muscle contract as the rib cage raises during a typical inhale. As the lungs expand, the air pressure decreases and more air rushes in.
