About technological advancement

Technological developments today have shown many extraordinary advances. Many things from the life sector have used the existence of technology itself. Its presence has had a considerable impact on human life in various aspects and dimensions.

Likewise with communication technology which is hardware equipment in the organizational structure that contains social values that enable individuals to collect, process and exchange information (according to Rogers, 1986).

Such a situation, where a technology is able to change something that may not necessarily be done into a reality. For example, if in the past people could not talk to other people who were somewhere far away, then after the telephone people could talk without boundaries and time gaps.

This is where, initially with the discovery of various simple devices, ranging from telephones, which are analog-based, progress and develop continuously until various other electronic devices appear. Until finally these technologies integrate with one another.

The existing communication technology is an answer to the development of the times. This happens because the more advanced a human civilization is, the technology will continue to experience developments to harmonize the pattern of human civilization itself.

Shakespeare's Sonnet 12 addresses a universal human problem, specifically the fear of time and aging.

What does the sonnet address?

Shakespeare's Sonnet 12 addresses a universal human problem, specifically the fear of time and aging. The speaker reflects on how time can erode physical beauty, and warns the listener (presumed to be a friend) to preserve their youth and beauty through the written word.

The themes of time and aging are common to all human beings and are not specific to the speaker or listener. Therefore, the poem can be considered both universal and specific to the speaker and listener.

Answers

Answer:

The resolution to "The Lady or the Tiger" could involve the princess intervening before the protagonist could choose between the left and right doors, revealing that the "tiger" was actually a test of his loyalty. The princess could react with relief, while the lover and damsel may be disappointed. The king could be pleased with the outcome, but also disappointed that the test was necessary. The opening of the door could be considered the climax of the story. The falling action could involve the protagonist's reflection on the events and his decision-making process. To ensure all questions are answered and loose ends are tied, the resolution could include a dialogue between the protagonist and the princess, discussing their future and the lessons they learned.

In order to establish tone and emotion, the resolution could use dialogue between the characters to show their reactions and emotions, and juxtaposition to contrast the protagonist's feelings before and after the test. Additionally, pacing could be used to build tension leading up to the door-opening climax, and perspective could be used to show the protagonist's inner thoughts and feelings throughout the story.

Lady Macbeth advises her husband to "Look like the innocent flower, / But be the serpent under it" (Act I, Scene V, Lines 66-67). Write about something in the modern world that presents itself as an "innocent flower" even though it is really a "serpent." Use textual evidence to support your response by comparing your example back to the play.

Answers

In today's world, the devil may pose as a harmless flower, yet he is a snake from hell. He can trick you into seemingly harmless settings only to stab you. That is why, in the current world, we must be vigilant of the devil.

Where does Lady Macbeth say to seem like a flower but be the serpent under T?

Macbeth and his wife appear to have switched roles. In his conversation with the killers, Macbeth employs the same speech that Lady Macbeth used to persuade him to murder in Act 1, Scene 7. He questions their manhood to enrage them, and their impulse to murder Banquo and Fleance stems from a need to prove themselves to be men.

Macbeth repeats her prior remarks in the encounter with Lady Macbeth that follows. She advised him earlier that he must "appear like the innocent blossom, but be the serpent under T".

They now have to "make [their] faces visors to [their] emotions, masking what they are," he continues, telling her to hide her disquiet. Even so, Macbeth unavoidably struggles with remorse and doubt, which he expresses by referring to the "scorpions" in his head and by saying that they "have burnt the snake, not slain it" by killing Banquo.

Conduct and write a literary analysis about The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. literature workReread the work you select, making note of any particular literary element that stands out. Choose the literary element and aspect of the text that you will examine in your analysis. Follow the procedure outlined below to write your literary analysis. Your paper should be approximately two to three pages in length. It should include a logical introduction, body, and conclusion that develops and supports your thesis. Answers

Answer:

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, written by Washington Irving in 1820, is a classic short story that has captivated audiences for centuries with its eerie and supernatural elements. One literary element that stands out in the story is its use of imagery. Irving masterfully uses descriptive language to create vivid and haunting images of the setting and characters that bring the story to life and heighten the eerie atmosphere.

The story is set in the small village of Sleepy Hollow, located in the Hudson Valley of New York. Irving describes the village as a "place of dreams" where "the air was filled with the fragrance of apples." He paints a picture of a peaceful and idyllic setting, which contrasts sharply with the eerie and supernatural events that transpire in the story. The imagery of the village sets the stage for the eerie atmosphere that permeates the story, making the reader feel uneasy and unsure of what to expect.

Irving also uses imagery to create an eerie and supernatural atmosphere through his portrayal of the main character, Ichabod Crane. Crane is described as "a tall, gawky-looking" schoolmaster with a "long, lank body" and "a lean, sallow face." The imagery used to describe Crane creates a sense of unease and otherworldliness, which is fitting for a character who is entangled in a supernatural legend. The imagery used to describe Crane also highlights his vulnerability and insignificance in the face of the powerful and mysterious forces that surround him.

The imagery used to describe the setting and characters in The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is an integral aspect of the story that contributes to the eerie and supernatural atmosphere. Irving's use of descriptive language effectively creates vivid and haunting images that bring the story to life and heighten the eerie atmosphere. The imagery used in the story is an excellent example of how literary elements can be used to create an eerie and supernatural atmosphere, which is fitting for a story that is filled with eerie and supernatural events.

In conclusion, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is a classic short story that uses imagery to create an eerie and supernatural atmosphere. Irving's use of descriptive language effectively creates vivid and haunting images of the setting and characters, which bring the story to life and heighten the eerie atmosphere. The imagery used in the story is an excellent example of how literary elements can be used to create an eerie and supernatural atmosphere, which is fitting for a story that is filled with eerie and supernatural events.

The planters organized a revolt to depose the Queen in January 1893. They simultaneously requested a defense from the American military. Marines assaulted the islands without permission from the president, and in Honolulu, the American minister to the islands flew the American flag.

The Queen was made to resign under duress, and Washington politicians were given the task of resolving the situation. Grover Cleveland had already been sworn in as president at this point. Cleveland was a vocal opponent of imperialism who believed Americans had behaved dishonorably in Hawaii.

Does Polyphemus deserve to be blinded? Explain.

Answers

Odysseus and his men burst into Polyphemus' home, and because of this misunderstanding, he was stabbed in the eye and became blind. Polyphemus was likely in shock as a result of these events.

What lesson do Odysseus and Polyphemus teach us about morality?

Odysseus was a hero unto himself. In order to rescue Helen the princess from the Trojans, the King of Ithaca sailed to Troy with an army of warriors. Odysseus became legendary among his fellow Greeks as a result of his leadership and prowess against Troy.

However, Odysseus had a critical defect that would lead to his downfall. Despite being able to control a chariot and a phalanx of men, Odysseus wasn't always in control of himself. He occasionally let his arrogance get the best of him, turning into an uncontrollable primal force of passion and rage.
