Look At The Graph Below. It Shows The Cost Of Heating A Certain House Month By Month Over The Course

Answers

Answer 1

The month with the most cost of heating is January followed by February and then December, mainly the winter months when the temperature is extremely cold.

What is the cost of energy usage?

The cost of energy usage is the amount of money spent to purchase or usage energy in a given time period.

The cost of energy usage increases as more and more energy is consumed or usage in heating, cooking, production, etc.

From the given bar graph, we can conclude that the cost of heating the certain house increases in the following months;

January  - $55

February - $49

March - $40

December  - $42

Thus, the month with the most cost of heating will have the tallest bar when compared to other months.

A spectrum is a state that may fluctuate without gaps over a continuum and is not constrained to a particular set of values (plural: spectra or spectrums)[1]. After passing through a prism, visible light takes on a rainbow of colours, which is how the term was first used scientifically in optics. As knowledge of light increased on a scientific level, it started to encompass the entire electromagnetic spectrum. As a result, it evolved into a mapping of a variety of magnitudes (wavelengths) to a variety of attributes, including the perceived "colours of the rainbow" and other features that correspond to wavelengths outside of the visible light spectrum.

What is intensity?

In physics, the power transferred per unit area is known as the intensity or flux of radiant energy, where the area is measured on a plane perpendicular to the direction of the energy's propagation. Watts per square metre (W/m2) and kilogrammes per square metre (kg/s3) are the units used in the SI system. With waves like acoustic waves (sound) or electromagnetic waves like light or radio waves, intensity is most usually employed to describe the average power transfer across one period of the wave. Other situations where energy is exchanged can also be described in terms of intensity. One could, for instance, figure out how much kinetic energy each drop of water from a sprinkler is carrying.

What are the three equations of motion?

The three equations of motion are -

v = u + atS = ut + 1/2at²v² - u² = 2aS

Given is a car at rest which begins accelerating at 2.4 m/s² for 15 s.

From the given data, we can write -

[u] = 0 m/s

[a] = 2.4 m/s²

[t] = 15 s

We will use the second equation of motion to find how far the car has gone.

S = ut + 1/2at²

Substituting the values, we get -

S = 0 x 15 + 0.5 x 2.4 x 15 x 15

S = 0.5 x 2.4 x 15 x 15

S = 270 meters

Given:

A 1.2-kg puck is moved on a horizontal friction-free air table with an acceleration equal to that of 1.8 [tex]m/s^2[/tex]

Using Newton’s second law of motion, a body experiencing a force F gets accelerated in the direction of the force and its magnitude a is proportional to magnitude of the applied force. It also holds an inverse relation with the mass of the body m . This can be expressed as,

[tex]F = Ma[/tex]

Here, mass of the puck is 1.2kg. The acceleration is 1.8 [tex]m/s^2[/tex]

F = 1.2 x 1.8

F = 2.16 N

What is Friction ?

Friction is a force that prevents the relative movement of solid surfaces, fluid layers and material elements sliding against each other. There are several types of friction:

Dry friction is a force that opposes the relative lateral movement of two solid surfaces in contact. Dry friction is divided into static friction ("stich") between non-moving surfaces and kinetic friction between moving surfaces. In addition to atomic or molecular friction, dry friction usually arises from the interaction of surface features called turgidities. Fluid friction describes  friction between layers of  viscous fluid  moving relative to each other. Lubricating friction is  fluid friction where a lubricating fluid separates two solid surfaces. Skin friction is part of the resistance, the force that prevents the movement of  fluid on the surface of the body. Internal friction is a force that prevents movement between the components of a solid material during its deformation.

most elements are produced through processes in stars. explain what processes would produce elements lighter than lead and what processes would produce heavier elements.

Answers

The  s-processes produce elements lighter than lead and the r-processes would produce heavier elements.

Most of the elements are produced through processes in  the stars. There are two types of processes the r-process and the s-process. In r-process,  a heavy atom captures the nearby neutron, it can  transfer to heavier isotope or element. And when this happens multiple times to an atom, heavy elements are produced. Thus,  r-processes would produce heavier elements.

The s-process is slower. It uses neutron capture and the subsequent decay of that neutron into a proton resulting in formation of the lighter elements. Thus s-processes produce elements lighter than lead.

What is wrong with this statement?Choose the correct answer belowOA. The statement does not mention the initial amount of car theftsB. If the device eliminated all car thefts, it would reduce the odds of car theft by 100%, so the 300% figure is misleadingOC. The actual amount of the decrease in car thefts is less than 100%OD. If car thefts fell by 100%, it would be cut in half. Thus, a decrease of 200% means that it would be totally eliminated, and a decrease of more than 200% is impossible
