Read the excerpt and then answer the following question.

When you look at most of your electronics, clothing and other housewares, there's a good chance that somewhere on it you'll find "Made In China" or "Made in Vietnam". It's less likely, however, to find something that's marked "Made in the USA". Why? Simply put, outsourcing jobs overseas is cheaper.

For large corporations looking to grow their industry and sell goods cheaper and faster, outsourced labor is the answer. Labor overseas can be anywhere from five to twenty percent of what it costs in the States—which is a huge cost savings. But what does that mean for American jobs?

Recent statistics show that over two million jobs were outsourced in 2013, with the bulk of them going to China and India. With American employment at a low, it's easy to argue that those two million jobs would have been better kept for American workers.

Industries such as Manufacturing, IT Services, Distribution, Research & Development, and Call Centers are commonly outsourced to different countries. Slowly but surely, many factories around the U.S. have, and will continue to close due to outsourcing. One instance includes Whirlpool, which in 2010 shut down its Evansville, Indiana factory, which opened in 1956, to move it's refrigerator assembly operation to Mexico. This resulted in the loss of 1,200 local jobs.

For the workers at Whirlpool, and many like them around the U.S., losing their jobs due to outsourcing was disruptive. Not only had these workers been with the companies for several years, but in most cases, it was all they had ever done. Closures due to outsourcing leave these workers, many of which had plans to retire with the company, to look for new jobs. This becomes increasingly difficult, as the jobs they are qualified to do are disappearing, all going overseas.

While outsourcing may be a great, cost-effective option for corporations, it does severely impact those Americans whose jobs were cut as a result.

Can you show me a proper way to write the paragraph above by using two examples because that is what my instructor told me to do, can you please do it for me so I can hand it in, make sure to use proper punctuation and spelling?

Answers

The supporting detail has certain grammatical errors, such as incorrect or missing punctuation and some repetitive words, which we may edit as follows:-

Another issue is high wait periods. Vehicles come later than normal when there is inclement weather. Waiting times are increased if there is a "signal fault" on a commuter rail, subway, or metro line.

What is the Supporting Information?

The supporting Information was provided in such a way that it was easily comprehended. Still, we could make some adjustments to make it less redundant and more grammatically correct:

Although "wait time" is a frequent expression, "waiting time" is the right form. "It makes" is unnecessary because it is used in the supporting Information.

"It makes" is unnecessary because it is utilized in the supporting detail. It is a repetitive topic. Because it is a subordinate sentence, we need to add a comma after the clause that begins with "when." We put "signal trouble" inside quote marks to distinguish it from the rest of the statement.

The correctness of the supporting detail we provided above is just one example. If you disagree with any of the changes, please adapt or rewrite it.

The option that reveals the tone and the narrator's perspective is A, "The narrator is frightened because she is a Muslim making a Catholic confession."

What is tone?

The term tone is used in literature to indicate the attitude of the author or narrator in the literary work. Tone is revealed by the word choice and diction of the author. Examples of tone are as follows:

SeriousTolerantAmusingFrightenedExcited

In the passage under analysis here, the most revealing word used by the narrator is "froze", which indicates her fear. The narrator is frightened since, as a Muslim, she does not know what she should confess to a Catholic priest. She is afraid of how the priest, her parents and  Mrs. Piogarni will say and do.

That is why we have chosen option A as the right answer. We see the narrator is scared because of the predicaments of the situation.

The missing passage for this question is the following:

I froze. The priest would declare me a heretic, my parents would call me a traitor, and Mrs. Piogarni would give me detention. I had no idea what to say. That every time Chris Barkley called me a darkie, or teased me about my mom's towel-head, I made a silent prayer asking God to drop a tree on his st∪pid head.
